Megan Bartle, Oratory and Interp Instructor
Ms. Bartle is a graduate of the Guthrie Theatre actor training program at
the University of Minnesota. As a competitor, she won the NCFL National Tournament in Original Oratory. At the NFL Tournament, she placed second in both Oratory and Drama. A tribute to her versatility, she also won the Glenbrooks Tournament in Dramatic Duo. In her senior year, Ms. Bartle earned the most NFL points at the national tournament.

 

 

 


Sarah Gauche, Oratory Instructor

Ms. Gauche is a 2004 graduate of Apple Valley High School where she competed primarily in Original Oratory winning the 2003 NCFL National Tournament and taking 2nd place and 4th place at the 2003 and 2004 NFL National Tournaments. In 2002, she was the runner-up in Declamation at the NCFL National Tournament. She provides students with incredible insight in performing at high caliber tournaments.



Jessica Haffner-Fedje, Interp Instructor

Ms. Haffner-Fedje is an assistant coach at Roseville High School and a former coach at Eagan High School. During her tenure, her students have won countless local and regional champions. In addition, Ms. Fedje has coached an NFL Champion in Humorous Interp and at the 2003 NFL National tournament, she coached one finalist and the champion in Storytelling.

 

Bret Hemmerlin, Interp Instructor

Drew Hammond, Interp Instructor
Mr. Hammond currently coaches at Eagan High School in Minnesota. He is formerly of Apple Valley High School where he coached the 2003 NFL Humorous Interpretation final round winner. His students have won local, state, and national championships in addition to countless final round appearances.

Liz Kraut, Extemp & Congress Instructor
Ms. Kraut is a 2004 graduate of Mounds Park Academy and currently a student at St. Olaf College. A member of the first class of CPS, she is returning to provide her invaluable insight to students from her extensive experience. During Ms. Kraut’s career, she was in the Minnesota State Final Round three times, winning it twice. A semi-finalist at the NFL National Tournament in 2003 and 2004, she was also a finalist at the 2004 MBA Round Robin.


Alex Lichty, Oratory Instructor
Ms. Lichty is a 2004 graduate of Apple Valley High School where she competed in a number of public address events. A success at each event she attempted, Ms. Lichty was a finalist at the 2002 NCFL National Tournament and at numerous regional competitions.
 


Chris McDonald, Policy & Extemp Instructor

Mr. McDonald is the policy and extemporaneous speaking coach at Eagan High School where his student won the NFL national title in Domestic Extemp in 2003. As the coach at Bloomington High School, his students placed second at the NFL national tournament and won back-to-back state titles. His policy students at Bloomington Jefferson were in the semi-finals of the NFL National Tournament. At Eagan, his policy teams have been equally successful at local, regional, and national tournaments.
 


Shelia Pechacek, Congress & Extemp Instructor
A graduate of Benilde-St. Margaret School, Ms Pechacek is currently a student at Syracuse University in New York. As a competitor, she competed in both congress and extemporaneous speaking receiving local and national accolades. A finalist at the 2002 and 2003 NFL national tournaments in Congress, Ms. Pechacek was a three time NFL qualifier, four time NCFL participant, and a NFL All-American.
